Market Overview - Utah Cannabis License

Utah Cannabis presents a promising medical market with no lack of oversight from State Departments and a strong emphasis on the Department of Health and Pharmacy. Given the heavy religious influence in all State operations from the LDS community, this Utah Cannabis market presents as somewhat challenging for out of state applicants. In March 2020, Utah Cannabis launched its medical cannabis program with about 40,000 registered medical cardholders and more than 800 medical recommendations. Originally passed by voter approval, the Utah Medical Cannabis Act was quickly replaced with a “compromise” bill which imposed additional oversight and restrictions for the Utah Cannabis market. With limited Utah Cannabis license numbers and few out of state operators, Utah's medical cannabis marketplace is dominated by local and state operators.

Brian and Kalpna at Cannabis License Experts were very pleasant, informative, and knowledgeable regarding licensing. They helped us fill out all the forms needed and guided us through the entire process. I am sure that without their guidance our application would still be in process, or have been dismissed because of some missing information.
