In Quebec, all recreational cannabis stores are government-run, with the Société Québécoise du Cannabis (SQDC) acting as the province’s sole distributor. The SQDC is permitted to purchase cannabis from producers authorized under the Cannabis Act, operate retail locations, and sell cannabis online. Consumers must be 21 years or older to possess or purchase cannabis in Quebec, or to be admitted into an SQDC store.
There are currently 42 cannabis retail stores open in Québec. New points of sale will be added as necessary to meet market demand. The exact locations remain to be determined. For current store locations, see here.
